| On Saturday, members of the Riverhead Fire Department traveled to Hempstead as our Ironmen Drill Team competed in the 2026 New York State Championship Drill.
Firematic competition has a long and proud history in Riverhead, with the Ironmen representing our department since 1935. Events like the State Championship bring firefighters from across New York together to continue that tradition of competition, teamwork and camaraderie.
Congratulations to the Central Islip Hoboes on being crowned the 2026 New York State Champions, and thank you to the West Hempstead, Hempstead and South Hempstead Fire Departments, along with everyone involved, for hosting a great weekend. |
