A highly informative combined drill Monday night, put on by the Suffolk County PD Aviation Unit. Riverhead Fire Department and Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corp were provided training on how to safely work near the helicopter, securing landing zones, loading patients, communications, the capabilities, and limitations of the helicopter along with other topics pertaining to each agency working together. Thank you to the Suffolk County PD Aviation Unit for providing the training, the Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Flight Medic explained each of their functions and answered many questions from both agencies.
